- Experience in handling day-to-day support cases in order to support application modules developed in java and .net.
- Candidate should have solid shell scripting and troubleshooting skills on RHEL/Ubuntu platform.
- Good understanding of configuration on IIS, Apache, Reverse Proxy, Tomcat and Docker/Podman.
- Good understanding of Azure Cloud services are required.
- RHEL certification would be preferred.
Job Responsibilities: Tech Support – Application
1. Work with global clients and provide support to Java and Dot net based application modules.
2. Self-driven, eager to learn new things and create work plan to meet performance objectives.
3. Possess ownership of ongoing support cases and planned tasks.
4. Handle and resolve day to day support cases and update the status timely.
5. Perform pre-deployment system (hardware/software) verification.
6. Perform post-deployment application smoke test.
7. Monitor hardware and applications using Zabbix, an enterprise-based monitoring tool.
8. Work actively with operations and platform team.
9. Work on rotational shifts.
10. Willing to travel onsite (Hong Kong) for short term/long term assignments.
11. Research & studies on new technologies and prepare knowledge transfer materials to team members.
Key Skills
1. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
2. Good understanding on application data flow and technical architecture.
3. Good understanding of configuration on IIS, Apache, Reverse Proxy, Tomcat and Docker/Podman.
4. Understanding on database (MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle).
5. Understanding on Azure cloud services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
6. Hands-on on Windows/Linux OS Setup and Application installation on either On-Premises or Azure cloud.
7. Hands-on on containers (Docker/Podman) setup or configuration.
8. Knowledge to implement and handle network monitoring tool (such as Zabbix etc.).
9. Able to work on java/.net base application.
10. Good documentation and presentation skills.
