Transforming Port Operations Using Data-Driven Automation

INTECH helped revamp a global port operator’s traditional management system with automated workflows resulting in a boost in productivity and operational efficiency. 

The client is a multi-national leader in the logistics field. Their core business includes logistics of cargoes, port terminals operations, shipping services, and free trading zones.

With more than 57 terminals across 40+ countries they hold a significant share of the international container traffic. 

Client’s port operations heavily relied on manual processes for documentation, transactions, and security management. These shortcomings in the systems caused:

1. Processing delays in vessel registration, cargo handling, and security approvals.

2. Operational overheads due to massive, manual paperwork.

3. Higher error rates in documentation and transaction records.

4. Limited visibility and tracking of critical port activities.

To solve these challenges, the client requires a clear digital strategy that can help them embrace automation in a low code environment.

As a solution, we decided to migrate clients’ existing legacy system to an automated and integrated environment within their existing enterprise platform.
