Operating akin to digital marketplaces like Airbnb or Hotels.com, SeaRates acts as an  intermediary, connecting buyers (Beneficial Cargo Owners) and sellers (Freight Forwarders and  NVOCCs) in the freight industry. It offers a suite of services for both parties, ranging from booking and  tracking shipments to financial solutions like credit facilities and carbon emission credit options.
About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to lead and execute  our digital presence across platforms. In this role, you will develop and manage content strategies that  highlight our logistics capabilities, customer success stories, and technology-driven solutions. You will  be responsible for growing engagement, driving brand visibility, and supporting lead generation efforts  across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business objectives,  leveraging platforms such as Google Ads, Uber Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant  channels.
• Establish and manage advertising budgets, creating performance-driven campaign plans to  maximize ROI.
• Design and maintain a cohesive brand identity using Canva and other design tools, ensuring  consistency across all digital assets.
• Prioritize and nurture leads using market intelligence, analytics, and account-level opportunity  assessments to improve bid success rates.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with partners, industry event organizers, product and technical  teams for customer insights, and commercial teams for pricing strategies and marketing  initiatives.
• Create and schedule compelling B2B-focused content—posts, videos, infographics—tailored to  the logistics and freight forwarding sectors.
• Manage and monitor daily activity across multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram,  YouTube, Facebook, and X (Twitter).
• Track campaign performance through KPIs and analytics, and continuously refine strategies  for better engagement and conversion.
• Actively engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and build a vibrant digital community  around the brand.
• Stay current on industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to inform content  and strategy.

• Geographic responsibilities include but not limited to: Spain, France, United Kingdom, United  States, Mexico, Canada, Caribbean, Honduras, El Salvador, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.
• Special Project – Global Freight Summit (GFS):
o Lead promotional efforts for SeaRates’ flagship event, taking place in November in  Dubai, by driving attendance from freight forwarders and commodity traders—key to  the event’s impact and success.
o Oversee the design and maintenance of the event website, ensuring it is visually  appealing and informative.
o Manage the GFS Instagram account, including setting up an Instagram store and  promoting sponsorship opportunities.
o Proactively engage and motivate companies to participate and sponsor the summit.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience, in a related marketing field with supply chain or logistics role is  preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proficiency in English, Spanish and  preferably, French.
• Ability to conduct detailed research and present findings clearly.
• Competency in handling data and managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Advanced skills in data extraction from CRM, Excel or other data sources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM software.
• Demonstrated interest in logistics, supply chain management, or a related industry. • Ability to travel.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Volume of logistics inquiries received and successfully resolved
• Conversion rate of freight forwarders into active members of the Digital Freight  Alliance
• Growth in social media following for the SeaRates Global Freight Summit
• Number of companies engaged and confirmed to participate in the SeaRates Global  Freight Summit
• Revenue generated from successfully awarded bids with Beneficial Cargo Owners  (BCOs)
