Data Analyst – Job Description
Role Purpose:
To support the Cost Optimization & Offshoring function by building and maintaining structured
datasets, automating data extraction and analysis processes, and enabling fact-based decision-
making across financial and operational domains. The role will also support development of
analytical dashboards where required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Extraction & Structuring
Extract data from ERP, and other business systems.
Clean, standardize, and consolidate multi-source datasets into structured analytical
models.
Build and maintain centralized data repositories.
2. Analytical Development
Develop and maintain reusable scripts (R / SQL / Python) for recurring analysis such
as variance analysis, Pareto analysis, trend analysis, and anomaly detection.
Support deep-dive analysis across cost, operational, and utilization datasets.
Generate structured output files and analytical summaries for internal review.
3. Dashboard & Visualization Support
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards based on validated and standardized
datasets.
Translate structured analysis into visual insights for management review.
Ensure dashboards are built on standardized data models (not manual extracts).
4. Automation & Process Improvement
Automate recurring data pulls and transformation workflows.
Improve data accuracy, validation, and governance across sources.
Document data models, pipelines, and analytical processes for continuity.
Skills & Experience:
4-6 years of relevant experience in data analytics / IT / business analytics.
Strong proficiency in advanced excel, Power Query, SQL, and analytical languages
R, and Python.
Experience handling large financial and operational datasets.
Strong data wrangling, transformation, and structuring capabilities.
Working knowledge of Power BI (data modeling, DAX basics, report building).
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, IFS) preferred.
Understanding of financial concepts (GL, cost centers, budgets, variances) is an
advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
