Work as part of DP World’s Smart Solution Implementation Team for IoT+ Platform and AVA+
(Advance Video Analytics) Projects. Manage Project implementation, including devices
installation and configuration across DP World terminals to support Operation.
Will be responsible for assessment, project documentation, on-site implementation activity
coordination, firmware upgrade and version management in gateway and other devices,
supervision of the device’s implantation, ensure correct conditions during installation period,
sync with on-site vendor activities, and software deployment coordination with site team and
application development team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for project requirement assessment and project documentation.
Responsible for checking of devices at site (in terms of Qty, device status, damages etc.)
and safe storage of devices till completion or handover of project.
Responsible for carrying-out device pre-installation checklist. To identify safe and
correct location for device installation in Equipment, vehicles or at gate.
To identify cabling requirements (power, antenna, networking etc.) for device
Responsible for identifying tools required for device installation.
Responsible for giving go-ahead for device installation as per checklist and supervising
the device installation as per checklist process.
Responsible for successful configuration and commissioning of devices in IoT+ / AGS
To coordinate with application team for configuration of devices and software
Responsible for periodic reporting on installation progress in defined format. To report
to Project Manager in case of any deviation immediately.
Responsible for completing post installation checklist and obtain signoff from terminal
Responsible for material reconciliation as part of project sign-off.
Responsible for on-site activities coordination.
Responsible for all vendor activities coordination and implementation – depends on
project-to-project basis like GIS survey, device installation, etc.
Responsible for conducting use acceptance test with site team, record observations and
sync with project steering team for Change request implementation.
Periodic project progress reporting as per project org chart.
Educational / Technical / Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in electronic engineering / Mechanical engineering or
relevant academic field with 5+ years of experience in Industrial Equipment and
automation. And/or 15+ years of work experience in Industrial Equipment and
Project documentation exposure. Good experience on MS Office – Word, Power Point,
Willing and available for frequent oversee business travel. (Must)
Worked in technical evaluation of electronic / LV / ELV hardware. (Must).
Experienced in vehicle and equipment installation, understanding the cabling, battery
connection and checks (Desirable).
Worked on Project Management Tool (Desirable)
Exposure of vehicle CAN-bus protocol (J1939) – (Desirable)
Exposure of Software architecture understanding – (desirable)
Open-minded, collaborative, positive mindset to learn new things (Must).
English proficiency in verbal and written communication (Must)
